About me

When I was in elementary school I drew ballet dancers....not a good fit for a clumsy wheezy kid!

But soon I became fascinated by all the patterns you can make with squares and triangles....

Now I create those patterns in fabric.

Fabric I've painted or dyed...not with dancers but with glorious colors!

My school had a beautiful avenue of lime trees, the park  had 43 willow trees we loved to climb...

I've given up climbing trees!  But I do enjoy painting them.

I began making quilts when I moved to Athens, GA in 1984 and since then have made almost 300.

Most are sold, given away or destroyed!

I have been featured in many magazine articles world wide, most recently in Quilting Moderne.

From 1995 I entered many shows, included in Quilt National several times, Visions, AQE etc.

Many solo shows - in GA, NC, WA and CA.  Also at FOQ in the UK.

I began painting watercolors too long ago to remember but have only focussed on it since retiring.

I was born, grew up and went to university in the North of England, have a PhD in Psychology and worked at the University of GA until retirement.
